    Chris or Someone:

I have a constant popping/squeeking coming from my drivers front suspension after installing coilovers. I think I may have damaged my ball joint when popping the spindle off the UCA.

On the drivers side I hit the bottom bolt with a sledgehammer to pop it off...on the passenger I hit the side of the spindle and it popped off after a few taps.

I am thinking my ball joint is bad.....

Is there a way to confirm this???? If it is, how do I replace it and it is it more economical to just go with new UCAs instead since I'll be doing that eventually?

    Help!

Make me an offer and I'll sell you the UCA's I took of my 09 Tacoma.

They were only used for approximately 8 months / 13,000 miles.

See if you can pull up on the suspected bad ball joint. Also, Grab the top of the tire, and try to move it in and out (when on the ground). If you feel any play, even a little bit, the balll joint is bad.

My buddy mentioned that there is a plastic lining inside that I may have shattered when hitting the bottom bolt to break it loose.

does that come with the ball joint or the uca?
