I am looking at doing as lift top my front end of my 08 taco 4x4. I thinking either the 5100 bilstein or the front 2 inch plates.

    What do you recommend?

I am looking for a little more cleanance for when I have to go off road when I am hunting.

Also what tires do people recommend? Beside BFG.

    Thanks

^ thats a great place to start yes. if all your looking for is a little more clearance go with the 5100 all around and lift front accordingly and do the aal in the rear. budget lift for what your looking for. there numerous (by numerous i mean thousands) of lift and wheel threads, just search and look through them and alot of questions will be answered! good luck with the hunt for answers!

I have already looked at the FAQ and it is loaded with good info.

I placed the post quickly and didn't ask everything I wanted to ask.

Does anyone have the 5100 2.5 lift in front with stock size tire? Does it look bad?

Stock on my truck the run 265-65-17

I am thinking of going 265 70 17 or should I go up to 285 70? I will be running stock wheels.

My plan is to only do the front end

Bilstein 5100s @ 0 with OME885x coils. Toyota Rear TSB. Billet grill inserts.
I have an '08 Dbl cab TRD 2WD with rear TSB done. I already have the 5100 fronts so I will be using them. I don't have the funds for UCA at the moment (wife and I have baby on the way)... priorities, I know.

Any of you guys know how the following rides compare with each other and total lift amount is, ultimately recommending the best combo:

    1. Bilstein 5100 @ 1.75 w/stock coil
    2. Bilstein 5100 w/ OME 885 coil
    3. Bilstein 5100 w/ Eibach coil

I definitely appreciate the input. I don't do any heavy off-roading, just some occasional trail & wash drives at moderate speeds. Mainly highway/city driving. Thanks!
