With my leaf spring dilemma solved ( I was concerned they were jacked up beyond repair...turns out I am just in love with the idea of a giant new lifted leaf spring pack ), I realize that a lift is out of the question in the short term. So I want to beef up the rear springs with a "helper". I do carry loads here and there and it sucks dragging ass down the road. I have pushed the cargo capacity limits a few times but who hasn't right? I am thinking the super springs are a bit pricey so I decided to try out the Hellwig brand helpers.

Any thoughts or experience with these? Thanks in advance...

i have them, they work good. they do stiffen up the rear but i can put a lot of weight in the bed and it barely budges.

Thanks! Do you remember which model series you have? There seems to be two available for 4wd 2005-2010. A longer single helper and two separate helpers.

Awesome...I will be putting in an order today. I'd love to lift the truck 2-3", but function and budget come first. And other than looking cool a lift won't do much for me. I can still get back to my hunting spots at stock height! Thanks again.

nofords08...one more question about the Hellwig's, do they bump the frame at all or do they clear fine? I remember reading something the other night about "helpers" potentially bumping the rear frame. Thanks.

hmm what do you mean bumping the frame? i've been fully flexed on nnumerous occasions and the only thing that hits are ny tires into the fenders?
