and yet another lift question

I am in the progress of getting my lift parts together and have a couple of questions for the experts. I have 5100's for the front and want to get eibach's or something different than squishing the stock springs to get the lift. I don't have the TSB leaves in the back but have a Toytec AAL's, so do I need to do the TSB or should the AAL work the same.

i dont have the shocks for the back yet either, which would be the better shock to use 5100's or 5125's.

i don't have a 4wd just the prerunner '08 so the only other thing i was thinking of is the sway bar relocation bracket, if needed.

 

1. Your not squishing the coils, just forcing the suspension to extend further down.
2. AAL is probably easier than trying to get the dealer to do the TSB.
3. 5125s are even lengths for custom applications (6",8",10"), 5100s are vehicle specific lengths.
4. No sway bar re-locate is needed.

I was under the impression that you could use the stock springs but the ride would be stiffer than a eibach or OME type lift spring. I am trying to stay close to a firmer stock ride rather than a bone jarring one.

 

I have yet to have anyone say that the ride with the 5100s is bone jarring. Most people would say it is firmer, but also an improvement over stock. Especially offroad.

 

it will be firmer with the stock springs.

what would be the recomended setting with non-TSB and the aal's and stock springs. I will go with the 5100's for the rear shocks.

 

Most stock trucks will sit level with the front set a 2.5" and a AAL out back.
