ProComp 3" Suspension lift

Hey guys, i have a Spacer lift right now, getting into more and more off roading, Looking into something a bit more durable.

It's horrible. When I had it on my truck I couldn't stand it. Now I'm not saying that Pro Comp is running the original set-up from when they first put it out onto the market. They may have changed a few things. I would call them and ask what the spring rate is on those coils. When I had it, it was super stiff and I felt like I had no travel. I talked to Pro Comp and they said that there was a 718lb spring rate on their coils. Definitely made for after market bumpers and not for guys who are running stock bumpers. I didn't like it, but thats just my opinion. There are other people out here on this forum that do not have as many complaints as I did. So hopefully some of those other guys will chime in.

If you want to go with front shocks, I would advise going against the Pro Comps and using the 5100's.

EDIT- I say that because of the adjustability of the 5100's and I believe that they also provide a little more travel. Which may help prevent a rough and bumpy ride.

 

Yeah i hear ya, from my understanding they dont lift the front a full 3" though, only 2.75" correct?

 

Thats when used with the stock coil spring. Now say you set the 5100's at .85" and use the Eibach 1.6" coil spring youll get roughly 2.84". You could also use one of the OME springs say the 884 and leave the 5100s at 0 and achieve roughly 3"
