Mixing shocks

Im picking up some used ome nitro shocks and 881 springs for a good deal. Would it be bad to buy new shocks for the rear? Also would it be bad to mix brands?

 

Nope...You can mix and match brands and you can have different front any back. I think the only thing I wouldn't do is mix side to side....

 

it will not be"bad" you will just get a ride that will not be as controlled if you where to get matching shocks.
If the front is a 46mm piston gas charged mono and the rear was a smaller piston gas charged twin tube design that has less control then it may upset the truck going over certain uneven pavements or ruts.

 

Well I might just go with OME in the rear too. Are they much more than the billies for just the rear?
