i was looking to get a lift and tires for the yota but was wondering what are some of the pros and cons of getting a 6" lift and a 3" lift. obviously ground clearance is a good on but i do alot of highway miles but not so much worried about gas mileage but ain't looking to lose alot of mpg's. any suggestions and or knowledge?

I can't think of a single "pro" for a six inch lift.

Lowers ground clearance, way more expensive, and just way too much lift for a midsized truck IMO.

    ^ I'm a little confused here.

As far as lift height, for a freeway flyer it doesn't really matter too much.

You will probably find more people running the 2.5-3" lifts than 6".

How much do you want to spend? There are a lot of different options depending on what is in your budget, or what you want out of the lift.

    ^^ This.

6" lifts make our trucks look funny. 4" is the max I would lift a Tacoma.

that regular cab looks the part for sure! but to run a 6 inch on our 4 cylinders you must regear that chick is running 35's on the stock 4.11 gears:eek: that thing must get 10 mpg and be slow as molasses lolz

idk anything about a 6 inch icon lift, but if he pieced one up or it's a complete kit from them i'm sure it's nice icon is top shelf obviously. fabtech and pro comp 6 inch lifts are a different story in my book alot of people are running these set-ups i had my choice of either last weekend and i went with a 3 inch kit instead from pro-comp. i'm waiting to instal it until i sell some of stuff and it's killing me. idk i did alot of reading and the more i read the more a drop bracket lift from either of those manufactures just did not make sense to me.
