quick suspension help on ubolts

Ok guys need a quick answer rain is coming lol



I toasted my old u bolts that were longer then the stock ones, forgot to get some today but I have everything almost done.


My factory ubolts fit BUT there is hardly any thread on it (this is without torquing down to 75lbs).

Will it work or should I wait till tomorrow and do it in the rain?


If need be I can wait I am not in a crazy rush to do it, just didnt know if these will work or not.

Its not going to hurt to try it, unless there is just barely enough thread showing that you strip it out. I'd be carefully of that, but if you can get a few turns on it with your fingers then hit it up with a ratchet you should be alright!

 

Yeah no I have them on finger tight.

I was just making sure I dont need x amount of thread showing ya know?


Im sure once I start to tighten it down I will obviously get more thread.


They wont be on about a month Im getting shims and will need longer ubolts


Just dont want to be driving and my axle wants to leave the truck haha



so it should be ok?

 

The rule of thumb I go by is if I can get a full nut worth of thread I run with it.

Ok guys it's on it looks good. Still a problem, I did this because it looked like my axle was crooked, it still looks that way can someone post a pic from under neath the truck looking at the axle?
