A guy over at ttora did a 1" body lift and it looks good. I might do a 1" in the future who knows. I dont think a 1" is going to kill you... I understand how its unsafe to lift a truck 3" off the frame but 1"?

Most factory body mounts are made of rubber and designed to absorb some vibration and impact from bumps etc. When you put the cab up on solid blocks this absorption is gone. The sheet metal now has a sharp line it sits on. Every time you hit a bump the floor pans flex to absorb it. This creates weak points around the mounts allowing the bolts to possibly come through. These safety reasons are also why they are technically illegal in some states.
