About to buy front 5100s to level out

Hey guys, just wanted to throw it out there that I'm planning to buy 2 front 5100s from DSM clicked up to 1.5". I'm hoping by doing that, I can achieve that level look with a stock rear. I have NOT done TSB either. I'm also going to replace the stock 265/70/16s with 265/75/16s to give about another .5" so in theory my ultimate goal is to get about 2" of lift from the stock height. I don't wheel, but I do have to use 4x4 in the mud every now and then. I don't really want to go much higher than 2" so I"m thinking i can just leave the rear alone and not order anything for it. Whatcha think? I can't wait to give it a whirl! I'm planing to get the GOODYEAR WRANGLER TDs btw. Thomas PICS ARE HERE....ended up with the DURATRACS in 265/75/16 with front setting at .85" I'll try to take more if I can ever get home from work when it's light out

Chit....I'll measure tonight and see exactly what I'll need. Maybe I can get away with just .85 on the front and maybe leave a slight rake.

 

Subbing for pics when done...I also have 265/75/16s and plan on 5100s, so I'm curious to see the results.

 

subbed for pic too. want to get 5100's set to .85..might not get it perfectly level but i dont think the dreaded front end vibes r as likely with .85

Here is mine, front at 2.5 and 1" rear block. The truck is on a slight incline, but you get the idea. IMO get a 2" AAL in the rear because it will settle.

Just purchased my front 5100s from DSM 2 minutes ago. I'm just leaving the stock rears (only 21XXX miles on the truck) w/no TSB and setting them to .85.

I haven't rubbed yet w/my new tires, but it does look a wee bit tight in the wheel well.

 

What size tires are you running with? I also do not have TSB and was going to do .85 in front. I'm going with 265/75/16 once I have the shocks on there.

 

I've got the TSB and need 5100's up front badly. Front looks about 3" or so lower right now.

 

I have 265/75/16...I don't really want/need any overall lift, just trying to give the front a better look and prevent potential rubbing (although I doubt that will be an issue).

I'm holding off on the rear until they need replacing (I only have 21,xxx miles).

EDIT: And I think 1.75 would be around level, but it would be too easy to be nose high with any sort of load w/out the AAL.

 

TSB and 5100's set to 1.75 is the way to go.

 

if you do not have the TSB 1.75 may be nose high, 0.85 will be better

 

5100s set at 1.75 and nothing in the rear, no lift or tsb. Sits almost perfectly level, haven't measured but look GREAT and i love it.

Does it creep up to "nose high" extremely easily (even a light load)?

 

i would think so, i have seen the trucks with billies at 1.75 & TSB look nose high with a few hundred lbs in the back

I did the tbs to the rear, set the fronts to 1.75 and I am sitting level and looks good
