5100 installation questions

stupid question but on the rears wut part is suppose to closet to the truck? black squishy part or the other side? and on the fronts the very button notch is 0" correct?

 

There should not be any notches for the rear shocks. They are not adjustable. Make sure you got the right shocks.

As far as the first part of your question, I don't understand what you're trying to describe.

Ah, front shocks! Squishy part is called a bushing if memory serves me right
