above coil spacer and coilover combo???????

this maybe a stupid question and i sorry if it is but im new to this. is it possible to use both a adjustable coilover and a above coil spacer for a higher lift in the front? if it is possible is it a bad idea and why? thank you

 

Why would you purchase an adjustable coil over and still use a spacer? It's generally a bad idea to stack lifts. Just crank the coil overs up if you want more lift in the front.

More than likely your stock UCA will rub your coils, besides that you most likely would also damage your shocks. If you need more height for tires, cut more or go to a small body lift.

since you have a prerunner, why don't you look into getting lift spindles?

 

yes i thought about the spindles and no body could tell if they are easy to install. i want to do the lift my self and im no mechanic also i am having a hard time finding spindle lifts

 

Total Chaos and Camburg are the two more popular spindle lifts out there

TC are 3.5" of lift

Camburg's are 4" of lift

 

yeah i looked at the camburgs but how hard is the install on those and if i go 4 in the front how much should i raise it in the back to level it out

AP Expo springs should level it out (you will also need new rear shocks as well)

 

Camburg spindles in front. 3 inch leaf pack in the back. That's what I have and it sits level. The leaf pack was bolt on and took like 2 hours. And the spindles are a little more difficult, but are still bolt on and take about 5 hours. Not too bad at all. I did mine by myself

dredog does the camburg come with decent instructions did you need any crazy uncommon tools and do you have to be very knowledgable on trucks to do it youreslf and did the spindles come with everything you needed to install them?

It shouldn't be anything out the ordinary, just take your time. You are going to need new U bolts for the rear springs tho
