Wait for it !

the scary part is it seems to be an actual shop i would expect that kind of stupidity out of a bunch of guys in a garage working on a Tacoma LOL

crf69 12-15-2011 06:50 PM

nothing amazes me anymore.........

Toyota Tech31 12-15-2011 06:53 PM

wow, def not a toyota dealer, looks more like an independent type shop, what a complete idiot. i was nervous just waiting and watching.

Gelo760 12-15-2011 06:54 PM

That was like a small explosion .

4WD 12-15-2011 06:54 PM

I agree with all the above & yeah theres alot of guys here that want to do there own, which is fine but the urge to take a "short cut" is always there, i posted this to remind all that compressed coil over struts are no joke when done incorrectly

How was he expecting to get it back to gether without a spring compressor? It is possible to get it apart (dangerous don't do it) but without a compressor it is impossible to put a spring on a strut. You need something to give you a mechanical advantage.

From the looks of it and the response from the peanut gallery, i think they did it on purpose. Why? I have no idea, but on purpose or not, thats just plain STUPID!!!

The people talking and laughing during the video. Not those making fun of the video.

steve o 77 12-19-2011 12:24 PM

I hope he didn't plan on re using that strut since about 4 threads on the end of it are now gone.

I got a funny feeling that someone who thinks this is a good idea probably didn't think that far ahead.
