I have done research but can't find my answer that I'm looking for. I have been looking at toytech.com for a lift, I've found a bilstein 5100's shock kit for $350 and wondering if this this is all I need, I've read things about a diff drop kit and UCA's, but I don't know exactly what I need to complete this kit, and if I do need these item can they wait? My plans are to get 285/70/r17 Nitto Terra Grapplers, my truck is a 2006 Access Cab, v6, 4x4 auto.

The link for the kit I'm looking at is

You really don't need anything up front other than the shocks. However, I just lowered mine from 2.5" to 1.75" because I cannot get the alignment right. In other words, you may or may not need new UCA'S. I say plan on it.

Never mind. Why are all the bilstein shocks showing unavailable all of the sudden? They also are going to stop the discount codes on August 1st so you better hurry if you can even get them from DSM anymore.

That's the first I heard of a problem with the sr5 bilstein combo. I thought the sport and sr5 ran the same springs

Hmm not sure. I had no problems fitting or getting the bil to 2.5, but the ride was insane. Stiff as hell. My truck did not like going through turns with any speed. Once I threw the OME's on it was night and day

Not sure. I wish I had done it myself when I got it done, but I got a crazy good deal from a local truck shop, and I wasnt to familiar with the front suspension at the time. Oh well.... the plan was always coils and shocks so no harm. Good info to know for next time :D

Oh Im sure. Since then Ive gotten to much satisfaction doing everything myself. Its just to much fun to rip apart your truck and put it back together yourself. :D
