I go hunting every weekend with hounds and there is a guy we go with and his truck is an 05 tacoma. It has a 6in fabtech lift and maybe a 3 inch body and 35" in tires. Obviously with this set up shit will break and lots does we just swapped out his 7th 3rd member out in only 70,000 miles. The engine has been rebuilt once and frame replaced 3 times due to it simply snapping. So all this is besides the point. I asked him why he has 2 sets of fabtech 2.5 coil overs and he said that the bottom heim joint looking thing blows out in 10,000 miles or less has anyone had problems with coilovers like this? fabtech essentially told him to "fuck off" cause the dont warranty that kinda stuff.

Yes, same thing. Those can be replaced and they are really cheap compared to buying a second set of coilovers:confused:

Yea but is it normal for them to be destroyed in 10,000 miles? Also my understanding is he has broken something inside and bent a shaft that is why he has two sets

its not normal, however, if hes trashing his truck where he needs that many frames, killed his engine, i would say yes, it would be normal for him. just buy new 40 buck heims and call it a day.

If he's that hard on his truck and breaks so much shit and the fabtechs take it,I guess it means they're quality.

those heim joints are shitty, gotta replace mines again after bout a year... it goes bad and then the bottom of the shock rubs against the mounting tabs and squeaks on every bump!!
i think fabtechs quality is going downhill.. fucked up thing is that my truck is a 2wd daily pavement driver and the heim joints are shot... GO FIGURE...MY FABTECH FUCKIN SUCKS!!

Why is this post back to the top? Its a year old.

No issues with my Fabtech coilovers with 23k on them. Been offroad and on the beach multiple times.
