I promised my fiancé I wouldn't modify this truck... I lied.
Probably a noob question but I figured I'd ask. Got a '98 TRD and the front springs are rough as hell. Getting Billy 5100's soon and want to put new coils on with them. Don't want to break the bank on fancy coils though - can I just get the non TRD model springs and slap them my TRD to get a softer ride? (In addition to the 5100's of course.)
    Thanks!

yep, the only difference between the TRD and stock coils is the TRD are progressive coils, VS. the linear that the stock are.

EDIT: i'm wrong on them being different on 1st gens, please disregard what i said.

They use the same coils for non TRD and TRD its just the shocks are different that's about it

OME 883# on Tundra 5100's, OMD custom 3" leafsprings, rear shock relocation, Ivan Stewart TRD rims w/285/75/16's, '02 bumper MOD, Famous Fabrications sliders , LED interior/exterior lights, bed bar, Custom tube bumper, Old school KC day lighters,Red Ring 8" HID flood, Kenwood vhf 2M.. umm some other shit I'm forgetting right now
If you get the 5100's just set the adjustment clip on the bottom setting (stock ride height, no lift) This will be as smooth as it gets for a stock ride, if you start pre-loading the coils for lift (raising the adjustment clip)

You'll DEF. get a harsher ride...
