    Hi Everyone,

I'm a suspension noob and am looking for some information. I'm wanting to add a leaf to my rear suspension on my '05 DC LB. My main goal is to increase load carry capacity and achieve a slight lift.

I never got the add-a-leaf TSB done because my truck was out of warranty when I purchased it. I'm wondering if there is a difference between the TSB add-a-leaf and an add-a-leaf from Toytec (or any of the non-Toyota packages)? The Toytec one I'm looking at is: Also, planning on new Bilstein 5100's all around. Thanks for the help!

The TSB does not add a leaf. It is full replacement leaf packs that add a little to the capacity and lift about 1/2" when settled. The AAL you're looking at adds 2" and will help a little with capacity.

Thanks NC10. Apparently I haven't done enough homework!

So, with that being said, what are the best options to increase load carrying capacity (other than airbags)? Any suggestions? I'm ok with a slight lift.

Go full replacement leaf packs. No substitute for new parts lol! Either Dakars with 2.75" lift, Ironman 2" (which is what I'm planning on getting) Alcan can do custom height and weight capacity sets, or all pro who has standard 3" and expos with about 4" lift

That's a good question. I'm in the same boat except i already have 5100's all the way around so would you get the 2" or the 1 1/2" from toytec?

Any thoughts on the Icon progressive 3-leaf add on? Anybody have any information regarding final lift and load carrying capacity? These look promising as well.

I have TSB springs plus the Icon 3 leaf add a leaf pack with overload removed. I gained 2.5" and it is to stiff.

Is it the regular or heavy duty? Did you leave in the overload spring?
