the trimming depends on how much rubbing you have, do you have any rubbing? Also, are you running spacers?

What lift did you put on? Spacers? UCA's? How's your alignment? Any vibes? I've got the stuff to do mine, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

its just the revtek 3" spacer lift and aal in the rear, couldnt afford to do a coil over, but with the 285's the uca's kinda rubbed on the tire and i dont believe they still are but i might look at getting some new uca's that wont come close to the tire? There is some vibrations when i take off but after that its good, the ride is really rough cause i still have the stock suspension on there, allignment feels fine, its not pulling off to the right or left, unless thats not what bad allignment will do, this is the first time i ever had a lifted truck so im still new to it all

runnin 285 70 17's need to go out and look at what needs to be trimmed, does anyone know if it hurts to cut the inside of the fender? and what did you use to cut it?

You better get an alignment asap. If you did the same work to each side the alignment could we way off but you won't experience a pull or anything because maybe both tires are canceling each other out at the same time. Be careful of your toe also, I seen a brand new set of tires destroyed because they were toed in badly.

As for trimming. I would say most people take off the front mud flaps for starters, but then the easiest way is to make some turns, jump out and see where's the tire is rubbing.

ps: you may not notice your alignment is off while driving, but for me after installing lift I only noticed that turning felt funny. And since you changed your caster also, your steering wheel may not want to return to strait as much as it used to.

O and I forgot nice looking Tacoma. I'm shopping around for some 285/75/16's. What tires are those? Didn't look to closely.

they are the hankook 285 70 mud terrain, they look pretty sweet and they were pretty cheap, suppose to last around 40k, got them at americas tire, and les schwab did the allignment and once everything is settled in about a month im gonna go back and get it alligned again so it should be pretty good, i trimmed the front of the fenter wall cause it was rubbing pretty good there but now when i backed out of my drive way it was still rubbing on something so i dont think ill beable to turn all the way. the tire is pretty close to the uca so i might look for some aftermarket uca's when i put on the 5100's
