I'm getting the Toytec lift kit that lifts it about three inches, with a extra leaf and springs and the related hardware.

My question is, someone told me the 5100 shocks will not fit this. Will the stock fit it or will I need a different shock?

5100's will fit but only at stock height. Do not try to set the 5100's at anything above the stock setting and they will fit fine and give you a great ride

OK, so I can't use the 5100's. And setting them for anything is not even a consideration since they won't fit.

Again, what should I buy or will stock fit a 3 inch lift?

stock will fit. but if you want to use the 5100's you can. they have a stock setting and will fit fine and give you a slightly better ride than stock. if you are gonna use anything other than stock shocks i recomend 5100's. they are a great ride and you can always adjust later if you need to for any reason
