Im lookin at Toyotec's 3" basic lift. The one with spacers and AAls. If I installed this would I be able to run 285's without trimming if I got some Spidertrax?

You would still have to trim. The amount of trimming needed seems to vary vehicle to vehicle.

The general consensus is in favor of coil overs rather than spacers for comfort of ride and longevity of your shocks. Get some 5100's for your front. They are adjustable and will give you a 2.5" - 3" lift.

Do you have 3 or 4 leaf springs? If you have 3 you might be eligible for a free maintenance upgrade of your leaf packs and shocks from Toyota.

The AAL would be a good complement to the rear.

I have a Sport with Spidertrax, and I just purchased the (far from cheap) ToyTec ultimate lift. I'm setting myself up for 285's as well.

If I do have only 3 leaves and Toyota does decide to replace them does that actually give me any lift or does it just increase load carrying capacity? And where can i get the 5100 coilovers for the front for a good price? I'm on a fireman's budget which is next to nothing.

The TSB spring pack gives about 3/4" lift. Load capacity remains the same. Downsouth motor sports (A vendor on here) has the 5100's for about $300.00 for front and rear (All 4).

Ok, I like the 5100 price. Stupid question though, is that just the shock itself with a threaded body that I put my stock coils on or is it the whole assembley? Bad spelling I know.

Its for the shocks themselves. The body isnt threaded, but has 4 groves cut into them in which the coil seat sets. The lift heights are, 0", .85", 1.75", and 2.5" lift when used with the OEM springs.

sounds good, would my truck look retarded if I ran 265/70/R17 BFG All Terrains with those shocks? I just want to get my truck good and level maybe slightly higher in the front. I just checked prices on 285s and those aren't happenin.

It wouldnt look retarded at all. Many people are running that size tire, with that much lift.

I am running 265/70/17 Bridgestone AT on stock sport rims. 5100's all around, fronts set at 1.75.
I like the look. Something is definitely different, but doesn't scream HEY, I'M A LIFTED TRUCK..LOOK AT ME....

thats a bad lookin ride man. They fill out the wheel wells more than i thought they would. what is ya'lls opinion on 275s? BFG makes their AT's in that size and i think i might like the slightly larger tire. i should still be able to roll those with just the 5100's in the front right? maybe a lil trimming
