It is to bad that they don't sell the Hillux in the states, I would have bought one in a heartbeat...I drive one every day in Afghanistan and they can take a beating like no other, and they just run forever......They are great trucks in my opinion, especially like them because diesel!

That drive is hell. We drove down to Las Vegas after Christmas about 2 years ago and a big storm hit, when it cleared up we got back on the road and going through Utah it was really icy and there was drivers bombing ass down the freeway doing 80 I bet, commercial trucks too, some of them had to be doing 70! They must really have faith in guardian angels or something, crazy drivers!

Heck animals are the last thing you need to worry about driving in Utah...

More like stupid drivers, slow drivers, mini fridges, swing sets, dressers, hay bales...nobody straps things down in that state.

That Mitsu just looks all sorts of wrong... Personally, I don't mind the looks of the Hilux.

I wish someone speaking swedish could tell us if this was a hilux vs. mitsubishi thing or sway bar vs. none experiment. If it was the latter, then why use two different brands? Just do the test with the mitsubishi, then take the sway bar off and do it again.

I wonder how the 1st gen taco would do in such a test? and the correlation between lift and speed. So for every 1 inch of lift you loose X amount of MPH.

Lots of talk in here about moose NOT entering the vehicle with you, I just feel it necessary to point out that that's dead wrong. Being an Alaskan resident my entire life I've seen countless moose hits. I'll take a picture of the sign next time I drive by it (they keep a tally).
A moose will most likely flip over the cab, but if you're going about 35 around a blind corner and he's waiting on the other side, it's not uncommon for them to go right into the cab. A 72" rack isn't the best thing for airbags
