Creek crossing

Took my Tacoma on a 62 mile trail over the weekend near Laramie Peak, Wyoming.

if you hadn't gone in so fast, the water would have bearly made it to you headlights.
Always start water crossings slow and pickup speed building a bow wave in front of the truck, this puts the trough of the wave right where the motor is reducing the chance of ingesting water

Does anyone know where the actual intake to the engine is on their own truck? I know on the 2001-2004 Tacoma's it draws from an "elbow" that is installed inside of the passenger fender. Little chance of ingesting water on that run.

Look here for a sample install of a Safari Snorkel and you'll see the elbow attached to the snorkel.
