How many miles before front wheel bearing failure?

My front does little wondering and last time I had that on My LC wheel bearings where loose.
So I am thinking to take a wheel apart and see how those suckers look like.
How many miles on average people got on the wheel bearings?
I have little over 30K so I guess that's the life limit on those ?
Anybody try to replace them with something else?
How come 2wd trucks seem to have adjustable front bearings? is there any way to convert 4wd truck to them ?

With sufficient thrust, pigs fly just fine.

I dont think there is a set milage in which they go out. Alot of people are over 100k miles on their OEM bearings..

mine went out around 130,000. you will know when they start goin out. mine sounded like road noise except 5x louder. it got where you couldnt hear the radio in the truck. and get ready when you go to change it. nobody wants to do it, not even toyota. i took mine to a shop that works on 18-wheelers. they were the only ones that had a press that would knock the bearing out. i think you need 50,000 lb press!
