Whoops did I need that - (Ball Joint)

    Sway-Away racerunners up front, Downey leafsprings (5 pack) and Bilstein 5125's in back, 2" body lift, K&N/AEM air intake, Energy Bushings, Nology plug wires, Custom front/rear bumpers and sliders. Downey header and custom exhuast from there back.
    Sooo I just replaced my right side ball joint and happened to stumble across this page...

    after the fact.

    If you scroll down a little on there you'll see he talks about sliding that "little ring" off the old ball joint...

    Was that to slide it back on to the new ball joint before hooking it back up to the UCA? If sooo I may be screwed, because I did not.

    In fact the "little ring" was quite bent when I removed the dust boot from the old ball joint.

    Thanks so much for any advice!
