Lots of good info in this thread. Thanks for posting up everything OP.

PS.. I know this is a 8 year old thread, but it's the most complete of any of the clutch replacement threads as far as pictures go.. So with that being said... bringing this baby back from the dead! :D

Thanks man this is very detailed and informative. I’ve watched the video of the xrunner a couple times but the info you gave is a lot more detailed. I will be referring to this thread once I get my truck up on some jack stands.

So I have a stock tacoma with the 6mt and 175k miles... have no power going to wheels when clutch is engaged( pedal not depressed) and am thinking that the clutch or throw out bearing are the issue. What is a good clutch from URD or others that won't be overkill( seen many here with a stage III but had the super charger) thanks.

As far as longevity goes, if you don’t have power upgrades that require a clutch with more tq capacity, then it’ll be hard to beat the Stock Aisin clutch. That is of course assuming you don’t mind how the stock clutch felt. Some people don’t like it and want something grabbier, so that is for you to decide I suppose

    Stock ftw without power upgrades!!!

otherwise an organic capable of handling your engines load will be significantly more kind to drive. Ceramic clutches are harsh.
