    1996 2.7l....Seems to run better when cold or let it rest. If I drive for 20 or 30 minutes straight it starts falling on its face and stubbling at partial throttle and will clear up at full throttle.

    Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
    Your AFR sensor is shot. That's the 135 code. The 402 is the EGR system. It is more than likely a result of the AFR malfunctioning.

    You can check the resistance of the heater, but that's about it unless you have access to an advanced scanner like the dealers have.

    I have just replaced the AFR sensor within the last year but I put in a new header recently and some one in town here told me if I put it in wrong it could burn it up quick. Is there any truth to that? I will check the resistance today. Thx
