maint reguired light on instrument cluster

how do you make the light go away. it is set for to remind me of an oil change by toyota techs. if you disconnect the battery will it disapear. it is on always now.

With the key in the "Off" position, press and hold the "ODO" reset button. While holding the button depressed, turn the key to the "On" position. It will read ------ and the dashes will disapear. When it flashes 00000 and reads the current milage, it is reset.
