The passenger side motor in my 2004 went bad. I need to get the motor out but am not sure how to disconnect the motor from the actuating arm that raises and lowers the window. I have door panel off and speaker removed. I see the 5 bolts that hold the motor in place but can't figure out the actuating arm.

    Any advice?

    Thanks.

On another Toyota, there was a sort of sliding clip (looks like a slotted duck bill) that you push off the pin (the clip rides in a slot on the pin). Then you have to force the pin out of the hole, which may be a pain so you might have to use a small screw driver to lever it out.

You lower the window to the right spot to remove but I don't know how you do that if the motor doesn't work.

You might download the manuals - very handy ...

From my understanding, I need to remove the window first then the motor and regulator come out together. I see all of the bolts that will loosen the regulator/motor.

I now need to figure out how to remove the window.

Siafu, may want to ask around on that but I have that option on my Jeep and hate it. I push down and it starts the auto down, I then push up and it starts the auto up. I do this 3 or 4 times before I get it to stop in the middle = PAIN IN THE ARSE!!!

From the manual (download at http://www.tacomaworld.com/out.php?url=http://www.ncttora.com/fsm/ - as per the sticky), after you extract the files and open the item R.M. 2006::Engine Hood / Door: Front Door (w/ Power Window): Disassembly (Tacoma) the procedure shows you remove the inside panel plate, remove two bolts and tip the window out.
