i have a '99 tacoma pre-runner 3.4 Liter V6 2 wheel drive that has the rear differential locker. i haven't used it in ages and when I try to engage it the light just blinks and blinks. I can't find any info on how to trouble shoot it or fix it. any advise would be appreciated..

Did you try backing up and turning from side to side?

Not sure if the autos have to be in neutral or park when engaging the diff lock. Try both and see if either one works.

    Thats what I was thinking...

    OP~
The locker is part of your rear dif... When was the last time you changed the dif fluid?? Every once in a whil I have to wait a few minutes for it to engage... when it does engage, the "RR DIF"" light will go solid and if you have ABS that light wil kick on as well... Let me run out to my truck and take a pic for you of the instructions. I'm not sure if its different for 4WD's though?!

    Here it is... Good Luck!
