Persistent Engine Shudder (2001 Tacoma)

I have a 2001 Tacoma (6 cylinder with TRD Supercharger). Often when I start the truck the engine will shudder briefly then surge before idling properly. Now and then the shudder is stronger and will trip the CEL. What's weird is there is no code when checked. The CEL will go off after a few starts.

The shudder occurs mostly when the truck sits for over 6 hours and is worse in cold weather. It turns over strong and runs great but the shudder is getting worse lately.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

 

I am having a very similar problem almost exactly the same. Have you had any luck fixing the problem?
