How do you remove the gear cup holder area?

    hey guys i was wondering if anyone knew how to remove the center part where you shift gears (automatic) / where the cup holder is? i want to paint it black

    It just snaps into place. There are no screws or anything like that. Just get a small flat blade screwdriver in between the panel and the console and pry up lightlty. It will pop right up. I've had mine out to replaced the shift indicator bulb and now it comes up without any effort.

Camburg Spindles, All Pro front fenders.
    You unscrew the shifter knob. Then grab both sides and pull up. I don't use a screwdriver. Then to replace just pop in back down.

    I just put a regular white bulb in there. No pics though. There is an amber rubber condom looking thing that goes over the bulb but I just tossed it. It made the display a little brighter too. Oh yeah and as stated above don't forget to unscrew the shifter knob.:)
