    Got a ? for u guys.
I have a 2007 Tacoma, with 69,000 miles on it. I was told that the rear axle seals have to be replaced. Ok, but I have called 2 places and one says that the bearings need to be pulled, so its gonna be $500.00. Another says they dont have to be pulled and its easy to do.

Any experts here that would enlighten me. I would much appreciate it.
They both said its unuall to have to replace both at once with that milage.

Any expert knowledge would be appreciated.

You don't have to pull the bearings. Remove the rear wheels and the brakes. Unbolt the axle and pull it out of the housing. Replace the axle seals. BTW there are two axle seals on each side. The outer seal is an O-ring and the inner seal is pressed into the axle housing and has a rubber flange on it.
