slightly before i lifted my truck with 5100's, i noticed a SLIGHT vibe coming from the rear of my truck. i figured it was an unbalanced tire and kinda put it out of sight, out of mind. then i lifted it, put on new wheels and tires and it now seems worse. it only happens from about 53-58MPH
i can see my tires in my side mirrors and they are NOT out of balance, straight as an arrow.

i checked my carrier bearing but i am not really sure what it would look like if it is bad. it is not loose at all, and the rubber (or whatever it is) inside the bearing seems ok.

how do i tell if my carrier bearing is bad, and do you think that this is even the cause of the problem?

Carrier bearing vibes start around 35 up to about 50 mph. Did you have yuour tires road force ballanced? You dont always see the tire moving if its out of ballance.

no, they were machined balanced. but it did the exact same thing before and after the lift. before the lift i was on stock sport 17's and dunlops, after 5100's im on pro comp 8069's and 285/75/16 hankook atm's

ok, if i do that and if it still vibes the same, would you say it is the carrier bearing? it feels like the vibe is rear passenger side. i checked all suspension and everything is nice and tight, not close to coming loose

I dont think you'll have vibes after that, but its best to start with the tires then go from there.
