    Good idea.

Always thought it would be a better to get everyone to boycott one single station brand, like BP or something.

airplanes use more fuel on take off that a car will in a month... stop flying.
on a side note anyone remember how clean the air got when all air traffic was grounded on 9/11? airplanes are one of the biggest contributors to shitty air but they dont attack them cause they make too much money instead they get all up in our grills about getting more efficient cars and other bs

Won't work, even though gas stations are using BP, Exxon, Mobil names, most if not all are not owned or operated by the oil companies, avg. joes like me and you pay to use their name on top of buying their mixed fuels in order to lure people in who trust such a name. Hurting the joe more than Exxon, plus there are many stations that buy a mix from subsidary of Exxon that doesn't sell under the Exxon name.

Wrong, passenger cars use way more fuel than planes, primarily because there are far more people driving than flying. Plus this would drive up the cost of auto-gas, the oil companies would see that we would just be reliant on driving more. Again, the only way this would ever work, is if everyone stoped using gas/oil for months. Which in this modern era, it is not possible, it would hurt us more than the cost of $5.00/gallon.

Todays cars produce very little emissions compared to jets, sure there are more cars but there are thousands of jets that take off every day and you can see the brown spewing out of them when they take off and no one complains about the thousands of gallons of gas they just used for takeoff? Sure there are more cars on the road but it like 20000 cars for one passenger jet

You are talking out of your ass. They use 1000's of gallons in a flight...a long flight.

Approx 5-6 thousand domestic flights and a few 1000 more international flights. Even at 20K gallons per flight(and that's a gross over estimate: Average domestic plane carries less than 1/2 that much fuel....).- That's 200,000,000 gallons in a day.

Compare that to the 62million registered cars/trucks/vans/suvs on the road...That's just 3.2 gallons per vehical. At 20 MPG- That's just 65 miles per vehicle. Over the road truckers and long distance commuters...Easily that many miles.

So...Lets not got to the University of Made Up Bullshit to try to make our arugments any more...Mmmmkay??

Other than slowing down and driving less I dont think there is really anything we can personally do about the gas issue.

Who regrets getting bigger tires? haha

A plane like a Boeing 747 uses approximately 1 gallon of fuel (about 4 liters) every second. Over the course of a 10-hour flight, it might burn 36,000 gallons (150,000 liters). According to Boeing's Web site, the 747 burns approximately 5 gallons of fuel per mile (12 liters per kilometer).

Correct me if I'm wrong but that's some shitty mileage
And yes my figures are BS I'm just making a point that jets are a huge contributor to pollution and use a shitload of fuel

The mpg is less efficient as a whole (I'm not saying a 747 gets better gas mileage than a prius), but when you consider the # of passengers the plane is transporting it works out to be quite low fuel usage per seat. That works out to be approx. 0.01 gallons of fuel/mile/passenger for 450 passengers. (note: I did not verify the 5 gallons of fuel/mile claim, I'll take take your word for it)

We can talk hockey if you want?

F-ing Stars lost again to a Canadian team, we can't buy a win against you (except Edmonton, I think we have a good record against them).
