    Just bought a used bed xtender online. Anyone know where I can get the template to mount the qucik release brackets? thanks

    sry i re pmed you without seeing steve got you a template......

    um i didnt put any sealant on. I dont think it's not necessary if you tighten screws well because the cover the holes completely. Also it is very tight against the d-pilars, therefore it wont trap water.

    Thanks guys! The xtender didn't come with brackets so I bought amp quick release brackets. Didn't get them yet but im sure they don't come with templates

    I didn't put the sealant on mine and haven't had any issues.

    I know the ones with toyota harware have a bolt and nut that you need to remove the tail lights to secure. seems a better, more sturdy app. I did install one on my older truck witht he self tappers and although they never came loose I was always afraid of them ripping out.

    Just got the pdf file from Amp Research. It is the full instructions with templates. I will try and post it if I can or email to those who need it.

    Update:
    Installed the bed xtender today. You really cannot go by the template they provide. It is a good starting point but I had to raise it by about an inch to inch and a half, otherwise the xtender is not level. Best bet is to tape the template for a guide then adjust higher to make sure it's level, then reposition the template.
