1996 Tacoma Speed Sensor!!!! HELP HELP

    1996 tacoma 2.7 Auto. Its my 3rd vehicle i need to keep the bitch going 250K on her. Threw p0500 code.

    my question is do i need to change sensor or cable.

    obdometer is dead, trip dead, speedo is dead. But......truck does have tack.

    The tack works great. ive been judging speeds with the tack.
    Any suggestions would be helpful. I really dont feel like pulling the dash apart to check the cable.!
