Floorboard lights

What is the best way to wire Lights up under the floorboard? i dont know where to start.

 

where exactly are you going to mount the lights?

 

under the dash in the floorboard.

 

could get the led strips from auto zone and wire them up they are pretty bright

 

i all ready have led strips, i just need some help on how to wire them.

 

Depends on how you want them to work? With a switch? With your dome light? When you open the door etc.

However you want them to go on, power them on through what you want them to go on with.

Your lights should have 2 wires: 1 is ground, the other is power.

 

dont you just need a swith a fuse and wire? plus the battery

if im wrong somebody correct me

from the positive terminal on the battery run a wire with and inline fuse to the switch
from the switch run the power wire to the positive connection on the lights
then from the other wire on the lights run those to a ground of your choice

and then you should be done i think

 

does anyone have a link or a write up about this. Where is the dome light wire located that i could tap into?
