trailer brake problem

Hello Everyone! I am new to the forum and have a question about my toyota. I have a 2008 tacoma double cab. I read in the manual that I have a factory hook up by the drive kick panel under the dash for trailer brakes. I bought a trailer brake kit from the parts store and a wiring harness from Toyota to hook up to the connector under the dash. I hooked everything up but I do not have any power coming out of the factory installed hook up. I tried putting fuses in the fuse box listed towing, trailer lights and a relay for trailer lights. Nothing has produced any power to the hook up. Surely someone else has ran across this. I called the dealer but they were not much help. Can somebody help me out??

Welcome to TW.
I'm not familiar with the hook up though sorry, just didnt want you thinking you're being ignored. There is a trailer section down a few areas, if i recall there was a hookup section there that might shed some light on it.

I answered your question in the other thread.

The answer was: Put a 30 Amp fuse in the TOWING BRK slot in the fusebox under the hood. Ignore all of the other towing fuses and relays.
