Both rear axle seals have been changed under warranty twice in 6 days? Got home from the dealership last night and they are leaking again. Is there specs as to how far the seal has to be installed in the housing? 2007 Tacoma with 77 k's abs brakes 4x4 v6
Hardly want to do this every week.

Make sure the vent on the diff isn't plugged, other than that you might want to find a new mechanic.

    inner or outer?
Wierd that it's leaking already. Someone at the dealership needs to check for burrs or flatspots.

It's the "head mechanic" of a Toyota dealership and he now says he's going to also change the brgs,he's lost in my opinion. Wish I could find the specs,I'd like to see what he is doing wrong. Lots of wasted time waiting for this truck to get repaired over again and again. Wish I could bring the truck to the mechanic of my choice under warranty. If anyone has the specs please forward them to me. Thanks.
