Replacement bed rail bolts

    bestop supertop, rubber bed mat, weathertech floor mats
    ok so if youre like me, perhaps you might have stripped your (or a friends) torx bit bed rail bolts, you know the ones that hold the rail against the bed (sorry no pic). well there is a solution! instead of going to the dealer and getting another strippable bolt (not even sure the cost, but probably more expensive) you can go to home depot and get a replacement hex bolt like this:

    its a 6mm x 1.0 x 16 mm.
    also you can bring your stripped bolt with you to test fit to be sure but these are long enough for STOCK applications. if you are putting anything behind the bed rails, such as certain tonneaus require, you'll need a longer bolt.
    in place on the rails, unpainted:

    Thanks for the info on the replacement bolts. I stripped mine today trying to install my Access Lorado tonneau... Any hints on how to get the bolts out once they're stripped?

    drill it out, OP thanks for the bolt details, ive either stripped or misplaced some bolts and only have the outside ones installed, ill be getting these sometime this week!

    Do the sliding tie down points still clear the head with these?
