Just did my rear differential. I bought 2 quarts of Valvoline dino 80w-90 thinking I had 1 quart at home.

Get home, it is Oreilly's auto parts brand 80w-90 gear lube. Was mad at myself.

Both brands are dino 80w-90, will this be ok?

Just me but I wouldn't mix them. Different companies use different additives. No telling how they'll react. Most likely you'd never know the difference and there would be no adverse affects but I would chance it over the cost of a quart of oil.

Edit: I should add I'm probably a little more obsessive about maintenance than I need to be...
