Oh, my bad. I didnt read the "fluid" in your title. I thought you wanted to change the whole transmission. The tranny comes filled with a "WS" fluid. World Standard from what I understand. It requires a special procedure for changeing the fluid.

the newer tacomas, unless you tow alot, dont need to be changed until 100k miles. its long life fluid.

nah........unless you are doing alot of towing, its really not necessary. but............the way i feel about it and would want my transmission to last, on the 06 i had....i was going to get it changed at 50k, since i towed my bass boat a little. i really dont think 30k is necessary though unless you tow alot.

for the "ws" fluid.....probably need to stick with the fluid toyota uses...cause im not sure anyoe makes any trans fluid that matches the "ws" type yet. and since its a weird process.....probably best to let toyota do it too.

yeah, and i agree......stealerjips can be ripoffs, but if they do the work...if it messes up sometime, its on them....not on you like it would be if you did it yourself and messed up something.
