Orange Peel effect

The Paint along the Bottom section of the Doors on my truck appears to be a little rough like a Orange Peel effect. Is this normal? It's hardly noticeable and you have to look close to see it. One side is a little worse then the other.

think you will find it is suppose to be that way to help with rock chips

It's put on prior to the paint. It supposed to help with rock chips and such. Most auto manufacturers put it on the vehicles now. Honda typically layers it on thick.

yes i also noticed this when waxing my tacoma. but i just thought it was an uneven layer of paint. who knew

Thank for the input guys, I thought it might be some kind of undercoating beneath the paint.

Yeah me.	It's put on prior to the paint. It supposed to help with rock chips and such. Most auto manufacturers put it on the vehicles now. Honda typically layers it on thick. __________________ ^^ mjp2 before the corrective surgery.

Jardine catback exhaust system. horn modification, AFE pro dry S filter and secondary filter removed. hopefully some wheels and tires next year.
