Bench test a SuperCharger???

Was told my supercharger was bad...was a horrible whining noise from it...not the typical whine from the supercharger...

Have an '03 3.4L 4wd and the S/C has over 90K on it...was running horribly, would not accelerate...very sluggish and the S/C sounded terrible.

The dealer removed the S/C, and it still ran the same, decided the cats were clogged and now I am having them replaced with MagnaFlows...

Question is...can the clogged cats cause this problem with the S/C? Is the S/C really bad? Can the S/C be bench tested or repaired? Replace the bearings?

Would hate to S...Can a $4000 part?

Any thoughts?

Found my own answer...Magnuson rebuilds them for around $700

Now the question is...is it worth it if I am not planning on holding on to the truck for much longer as I am moving overseas?

Am I going to recoup the price of the tear-out, rebuild, and reinstallation in the sale of the truck? About $2100 total? Does a S/C add that much value to a used Tacoma with 115K on the clock? Especially with the price of running 93 octane...
