Optima Causing issues??

Hey guys, im not sure if this is somewhere on the forum but today i was told that the optima that i just got and installed may soon ruin my alternator. When i am driving my Scangauge shows that my truck is charging at 13.1~13.6 Volts. Should i be worried?

 

Mine charges in the 13s with the stock battery and heavy duty alternator that comes with the tow package. I have a Ultragauge to measure it.

 

My cig lighter digital volt gauge deal says same same..........

 

Are you using a deep cycle? I've used optimas for years and never had an issue. If you try to use the alternator to recharge a dead battery it will wear it out quick.

13.4 is normal alternator charging voltage. My car charges in the 14v area, you have nothing to worry about.
