Access Cab rear door panels

My 2011 access cab does not have speakers in the rear doors therefore, no speaker screens in the trim panel. Do earlier 2nd Gen models have speakers in the rear doors? If so, will a earlier door trim panel with OEM speaker screens mount to my 2011 doors? Will there be a color match problem?

I have installed round speakers in the doors using the screens that come with the speaker which looks kinda cheap.

Yes, earlier years did have speaker grilles; not sure on the color-match problem. I assume you're just replacing (in a diff. location) the stock ceiling-mounted rear exciters?

My 2007 has the speakers on the rear doors. Would the colors be that different from 2005-2011?

No, I disconnected the exciters and installed "Punch" rounds in the rear doors.

So, now you have answered that earlier models have screens. I wonder what, if any mounting problems I will have. In other words, is the panel with grille screens gonna attach to my doors?

would you mind posting a picture of your rear doors with your speakers mounted? And more information on how you mounted and what not.

Thank you for your time.

Like this are the pre 09. I have now changed mine out. You have to run wires through the door for powering the speaker install speaker using original bracket or aftermarket, and the older panels fit perfect. Like I said earlier they are a little pricey and rare but they are worth it.

What size are those "punch rounds" did you get the 6.5" ? I have the RF Punch 6.5" components in my front doors and a RF punch 200 watt 2-channel pushing them. - shame will have to get a multi chanel soon. Also from the picture you posted. It looks like the door DOES have a factory mount in the metal frame for a speaker? Did you have to make or use a bracket? I made brackets for my front door out of 1/2'' MDF for the 6.5" and 1/4" MDF for the tweeter. Dremel tools are AWESOME! I had a lot of fun and enjoyed making those.

Thanks for your time guys!

The front doors are Punch P1694 6x9" and T1TS Tweeters. The rears are P152 5 1/4" rounds. Amp is a P400.4.

The metal part of the rear door does have a hole to mount a speaker BUT it does not align with the plastic panel. Note the panel is curved in front of the speaker mount. It order to get the speaker to mount where the plastic is level, the hole in the metal had to be opened up about 1 inch.

i did a component set in the front. Do you think they 5.25" would look better than the 6.5" ? I only deal with Fosgate. I have a Punch 200 2 channel AMP that 400 watt amp how much does it put out at 4ohm x 4? And also, any tips on removing the back door panels? I have not found any how-to's yet.

Thanks!
