no 4x4 lock up on my 03 tacoma

    my 03 tacoma will not shift the front differental to lock it into 4x4-any clues?

    man i have the same issues with my 05 u can check out 4x4 switch thread or big problem thread and it may help you i dont know.

    The Tacoma uses an ADD (Automatic Disconnecting Differential)... which is a newer form of 'automatic locking hubs' that allows you to shift on-the-fly into H4 and not need to manually lock the front hubs (hubs permit less wear on the front driveline when you are only using 2WD).

    The ADD is activated by a vacuum line every time you go into 4WD. That vacuum line may fail. Not common, but happens.
