Muffler/Tail Pipe rattling
So I finally narrowed down the location of this periodic "clunk" when going over abrupt bumps on the passenger side. The design of the factory exhaust assembly allows it to travel up and down freely about an inch or so while supported with rubber bushings. The noise is coming from the fast down travel of the entire exhaust. It sounds like a blown shock. I can also hear a slight squeek fom the two springs and bolts that hold the two exhaust pieces together.
Question...has anyone else noticed this sound? What could I do to get rid of it? It only happens during abrupt movement (bumpy roads)...not during normal driving. |
