Oil filters, What do you use?

I've always used Fram, I guess for no other reason than that's what my ol' man uses.

So, I was just curious what you all use...

i always use mobil1 filters or bosch filters.....no problems with them yet.

NAPA Gold, the filters are made by Wix. Can't beat them. If you have any doubts just compare it to the Fram. The Napa filter is much heaver and better quality. My .2

I used to use the OEM filter however after I found out that it is made in Thailand I decided to go to the Napa Gold. Now before Chris eats me alive with specs (and tells me the Napa filter is made in Bangladesh or something) and research I know the OEM meets the OEM spec however I just like the Wix filter.

Wix makes a top quality filter.

I got what I thought was a good deal on 10 OEM filters (for $30, including shipping) on Ebay. After they arrived, I noticed they were Thailand-made, too. What's the difference b/w these and the ones made in Japan?

To keep this on topic... OEM (Thailand) filter and Mobil 1 oil.

since the toyota made a replacment filter 90915 YZZD3, but the inside is paper, i went a head and order 3 the REAL OEM filter 90915 20004 made in Japan, they were not cheap.. $11 a pop, but the side is made from synethic fiber is filters out so much better that paper, WIX and NAPA uses paper, not much different. Everyone says Fram sucks due to the gasket. Since Mobile 1 oil is made of paper and cost like $10, i rather get the REAL original filter, they are hard to find, I find a place in VA that sells it but all they had was 3.
A place in los angeles sells it for like $15 if u use the discount code takes like 10%. So Down with paper, pay more for fiber

This filter is made by Champion Labs, however they are still using their older "performance" design rather than the new "Ecore" design. It uses a unique end plate and a thicker can than other filters using either of Champion's designs. Perhaps these customizations are the reason the old process is still being used. I had received many reports around 1999/2000 about these filters failing at high pressures. It seems that the seam where the backplate crimps to the case can split. I haven't heard anyone mentioning this issue in the past few years, however.
