When I am inside... Because other auto up/down vehicles I have been in have 3 direction switches to give a distinction between up/auto-up and down/auto-down.

It will give you auto up and down all the time but say you wanna crack a window or roll it down half way...you can either hold the switch til it is where you want then let go OR tap to start then tap again to stop it where you want.

Love this mod - but I'm confused.

The video shows the windows going up and down - but the write up says you need a second TR7. What would an additional one do?

    Thanks

For auto up and down windows you need the 530T.

The TR7 is used in addition to the 530T for auto up OR down from the key fob (1 TR7 for auto up and 1 TR7 for auto down) which is a lazy option lol

Your write up doesn't show how to install the 2nd TR7, does it?

No I don't have a second TR7 to install for the write up but I can test my wires tomorrow and add to the write up without pics if you want.

My bad. I thought the video showed it going down AND up. Right now just down.

I appreciate the write up. This is on my list.

    Nice work.

I must have overlooked this post lol sorry bro.

You do NOT have to have an alarm or a 2nd gen to do this mod. These modules are not vehicle specific but you will have to figure out the wiring in a different vehicle other than a taco. But your vehicle needs to have power windows and power locks for this mod to work.

Oh I have the key fob auto down done now.

awesome write up, would you mind adding instructions for the auto down with the key fob? Which wires to tap, etc

good write up and something that I plan to do for my truck when I put in an alarm ( or even if I dont)

    a few things to add,

you will need a second module for the rear windows for a DcaB

A a little advice ( unfortunately from past experience)

I would put the modules in the truck, and not in the door. Being between the door panel and vapor barrier helps, but moisture does get in the door. and the module is sensitive to moisture.

how do I know? I had this setup in my 1st gen, and the previous owner put the module in the door, and it would get wet. I would come out and my windows would be down in the rain.....:(

and it also did it in the snow one time and I had a inch or two on the dash....

moved the module under the dash, and it never happened again.

    just some advice

great mod though, I like the "batmobile" security affect when you walk away and lock it and they go up

Holy crap it's an XRU ghost lol. What's been up? Just incase you didn't know you can use the 530T without an alarm....until you get one lol. And yeah i read about the moisture issue...if they don't sell then i will move all three behind the driver kick panel.

Did you ever get my PM about the subX for an 09??

    probably :)

but I have tried to get my SubX forum taken down on here for almost a year, but it still floats up there.

I scan XRU from time to time and put my input when I think its helpful. I dont have the time I used to to frequent the forums as much.. ( life happened, but in a good way)

I am sure the other guys making boxes now ( design looks familiar ;) ) can make you something

Wow, I've always WANTED to do this, but never had the balls to on my own.

One question - I assume this only effects the driver side? Passengers are SOL on the whole auto up/down, right?

I still want to do it. Especially for being able to roll the windows down AND up from the FOB - brilliant! My old '96 Maxima was able to roll the windows down (from the factory) and I miss that feature so much.

Based on the water/snow stories, I definitely am considering putting these somewhere else other than the door panels. Eek!

You can make the passenger switch have auto up/down but you will have to run some wires from the 530T to the passenger door.

Ok, thanks for the quick reply. I probably won't do that, mainly because they're passengers. Let 'em suffer .

Great writeup, I've been looking for instructions on how to do this for a few weeks now. I just installed a clifford 330.3x alarm so this is next on my list! :D
